i-lEAD aCADEMY
During my tenure at Golden Gate High School I participated in a number of school initiatives. One of these initatives was to "recreate" the beacon room (credit recovery program) in the the i-lead academy. A team of 7 students and myself created wall lettering, wall murals and hanging photography in order to help make the I-Lead academy an engaging learning enviroment.
"Mrs. Millar has participated in numerous on and off campus projects and has been an integral part of the GGHS staff. " Diane Ferguson

"The iLEAD Academy will lead the way in how we deliver content to those students who prefer learning in a digital environment. Previously, this program was known as BEACON; a way in which students could recover much needed credits to graduate. The iLEAD Academy is open to all students during the day. It is housed in room 3-
125 which will now serve students in a myriad of ways." "Christine has ably performed her role here as a teacher at Golden Gate High School with great enthusiasm. She quickly adopted our school culture when she was hired and became a wonderful addition to many of our student’s lives."

nAPLES cHALK aRT
Every winter downtown Naples, FL would hold a chalk art festival. Each year, myself and my dear friend and amazing art teacher would bring a group of students with us to create masterpieces in chalk. This was a fun event that advertised the great art program at GGHS and got us out in the community for a day of fun. The students loved the results and enjoyed walking around to see what others had done.

In 2013, I was hired to start the art program for Roland Park Middle School. With a lot of hard work and love, I am proud to say that the art program is flourishing.
"Ms. Millar had to build our art program from the ground up because she was the first art teacher in the middle school program. She came in with a positive attitude and a willingness to try new things to help build our program. We are so grateful for the time that she put into getting our art program off the ground."
